At EBD Engineering, we have more than 21 years of experience with assisting our customers to obtain their energy reduction, expansion and master planning goals. We have substantial experience in both the private and public sectors and look forward to helping you obtain your objectives.

Colleges and Universities
The Partners at EBD Engineering have developed long term relationships with a large number of Colleges and Universities. Some of these include Fairfield University, Fordham University, the University of Rochester, Northwestern University, New York Medical College and Southern New Hampshire University. We have designed and executed more than $67M in energy conservation/carbon footprint reduction, central plant and master planning projects for our College and University clients to date.
Data Centers

EBD Engineering has an in depth knowlege and understanding of data centers and their unique requirements. We have designed entire data center cooling systems while integrating combined heat and power and UPS systems to meet stakeholder return on investment targets. We understand the critical nature of these systems and work with our clients to develop specific redundancy and performance requirements and then strive to maximize the efficiency of the systems we design to minimize maintenance and exceed performance targets.
Combined Heat and Power/Microgrid

EBD Engineering has analyzed and developed more than $150M in combined heat and power projects across numerous markets, while at the same time helping those same customers receive more than $31M in rebates and incentives. We fully understand the factors that drive the economics behind these complex projects and can offer substantial experience and direction to our clients while navigating through the analysis, incentive/rebate, utility interconnection and design and commissioning of these projects.

Healthcare
EBD Engineering has extensive experience with master planning, energy optimization, central plant design, control system optimization and combined heat and power plant installations at hospitals throughout the northeastern United States. We have designed and executed more than $150M of energy and central plant projects at hospitals and hospital networks including Danbury Hospital, Hartford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital, Fletcher Allen Hospital and Cooley Dickinson Hsopital.
Industrial/
Manufacturing

The Partners at EBD Engineering have been providing design and energy consulting services to the Industrial/Manufacturing sector since the early 1990s. We thrive on the challenge of developing energy and infrastructure related projects that fall within very stringent financial criteria. We work hand in hand with senior leadship and internal design teams to optimize system configuration, design and installation timeframes and utility and State funded grants and rebates. To date our principals have designed and executed more than $105M in Industrial/Manufacturing projects with our clients.

Pulp & Paper
EBD Engineering has worked with pulp and paper mills, large and small, to assist them with their capital project, energy conservation and reliability and redundancy needs. We have helped plan and design both temporary and permamant boiler systems up to 120 klb/hr, inclusive of new boiler plant design and environmental permitting. We have also provided combined heat and power analysis and design for superheated steam systems ranging from 3 MW - 25MW which produce up to 350 klb/hr.
Municipal/
Government

Our Partners have developed/engineered over $48M in performance contracts and were responsible for over $60 million in guaranteed energy/operational savings on these projects. We have helped these same customers obtain more than $5.5M in rebates and incentives.
EBD has designed, estimated, and supervised installations of new energy efficient heating, cooling, lighting, ventilation and control systems for our Municipal Customers and were solely responsible for calculating the guaranteed costs savings and for ensuring customer satisfaction.
We have substantial experience in providing consulting services to cities and towns that are interested in small scale combined heat and power and Microgrid opportunities. We have, and are currently providing these services to stakeholders that would like to leverage our in depth knowledge of analzying, providing cost estimates and permitting these sometimes complex systems. Our familiarity with the planning, design, interconnection, permitting and grant and rebate processes can help you substantially reduce your development and installation schedule and costs.
